The Recorder’s Office will not be open to the public until further notice due to the COVID-19 response effective Wednesday, March 18th, 2020

In order to conduct business with the Recorder’s Office, please read the following instructions;

  • Passports are temporarily suspended until further notice
  • Real Estate / Recording of documents = either electronically or mailed

  • Recreational vehicles such as boats, snowmobiles and atv’s
    Call (712) 328 5612 and dial #3 to receive instructions to register or obtain license
  • Vitals Records – Birth, death and marriage certificates
    Call (712) 328 5612 and dial #4 to receive instructions on applying for birth, death, marriage certificates and marriage license

Please note that since the Recorder’s Office is not open to the public, all work will be done either by mail, email, phone, electronically or fax. There will be no face to face contact.
