 A TARGETED COUNTY BURN BAN ISSUED.

Effective May 14, 2025, 3:00pm, an open burning ban has been issued for the Avoca, Minden, and Walnut Fire Districts in Pottawattamie County. This action has been taken in coordination with local fire officials and the County Emergency Management Agencies of Pottawattamie, Shelby, and Audubon. 

    

Emergency Management protects communities by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters.
