Burn Ban Lifted for Pottawattamie County
Due to recent moisture received in the area, the Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Agency has requested the State Fire Marshal lift the burn ban for Pottawattamie County, effective immediately.
Open burning is now permitted throughout the county, except within municipal city limits where local ordinances prohibit open burning. Residents should check with their local fire department or city clerk before burning to ensure compliance with any city-specific regulations.
