Pottawattamie County, Iowa - Pottawattamie County has announced temporary construction involving concrete removal work at the courthouse, beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
The construction is part of the Courthouse Pedestrian Improvement Project, intended to enhance the safety of all individuals visiting the courthouse. The main entrance of the courthouse will remain open during the course of the project. Work is scheduled to be completed by Monday, April 14.
During the construction period, the driveway in front of the courthouse will be closed. Access to the mailbox and ballot box will both be rerouted to the north.
