[Council Bluffs> Pottawattamie County residents impacted by the Missouri River flooding and severe storms occurring between June 16th and July 23rd are now eligible to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance programs. FEMA can provide money to eligible applicants for help with serious needs, paying for a temporary place to live, home repairs, and other needs not covered by insurance.
In coordination with emergency management, FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) Teams have been deployed in Pottawattamie County to help impacted residents apply with FEMA and address immediate and emerging needs related to the most recent flooding and severe weather events. FEMA Individual Assistance remains available for the April 26th disaster as well. Teams will visit areas impacted from those events to provide survivors with application status updates and referrals to community resources.
