PUBLIC NOTICE  is   hereby  given that a special school election in Merged Area XIII, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, will be held on Tuesday, the 6th of December, 2016, at which election there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said Merged Area XIII, the public measure set forth in the sample ballot below.

The polls will be open on said day from 7:00 A. M. until 8:00 P. M., and the polling places will be in the election precincts of said school district, and at the locations described as follows:

The ballots to be used at said election shall be as follows: Sample Ballot

At said election all of the qualified electors of the Merged Area XIII are hereby notified to appear at said time and place, each voter to vote at the polling place of the respective voting precinct in which the voter resides. All voters are also advised as to the requirements of voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in said election.

The public test of the ballot scanning equipment shall begin on November 28 at 9:00 a.m. and continue until completed at the elections office at 508 S Sixth, Council Bluffs.

Absentee ballots are available upon written request from Marilyn Jo Drake, Auditor, P. O. Box 649, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51502 or at the Auditor’s office, 2nd Floor County Courthouse, 227 S Sixth, Council Bluffs.

Curbside Voting is available to any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place and has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle. For further information, please contact the County Auditor at 712-328-5700.
