Renew Vehicle Registration

Online

When renewing a vehicle registration online, you will need your plate number and your pin number, which can be found on your renewal notice. If your renewal notice has a “stop” on it, the vehicle registration may not qualify for online renewal. There are additional fees for paying online (see fee table below).

We accept checks and cash at no fee. We also accept credit and debit cards with a service fee (see fee table below).

By Mail

Please submit checks payable to Pottawattamie County Treasurer and postmarked before the penalty and enforcement date to avoid late fees.

• Online: 2.35% plus $0.30 per transaction
• Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express accepted
